1 John 4:18-19 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

NEW YEAR, NEW HOPE, NEW BEGINNING

For many people, the new year represents a new beginning, a new hope, and new possibilities. Some people tend to greet it with relief, particularly if the previous year was extremely hard or stressful. It is also a time of reflection, both on the previous year and on the coming new year. We don’t have to wait for a new year to arrive to have a fresh start.

We are thankful to our Lord God Almighty every day for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us and for bringing us through each and every year. Every breath in our mouths is a gift given to us by our Creator. At times, we are facing uncertainty, but through faith, we rejoice because every day is a blessing from God.

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Before you think about or write down your goals for the new year, maybe it’s a good idea to examine yourselves internally first. Begin the new year with a repentant heart, admitting that you've sinned against Almighty God by breaking His laws (the Ten Commandments).

Have you ever lied?
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

Have you ever stolen anything regardless of its value?
Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15

Have you ever used God’s name in vain?

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7

Have you ever looked at a person with lust?
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28

Have you ever hated someone?

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal
life abiding in him.1 John 3:15

If you’ve answered yes to these five questions, by your own admission, you’re a lying, thieving, blasphemer, murderer and adulterer at heart. We’ve only looked at five of the Ten Commandments; that’s how God sees you; nothing is hidden from His holy eyes.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be

good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14

To repent is to be sorry for who you are and what you are. Change your mind from the rejection of Jesus Christ to faith in Jesus Christ, and recognize that He is indeed Lord and Saviour.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

Believing and trusting in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ alone to save you from the wrath to come through His death, burial, and resurrection, and His precious blood that was shed on the cross at Calvary, God will cleanse you of all of your sins, and He will fill you with the Holy Spirit, granting you the assurance of eternal life. You will then be born again with a new heart (spiritually) and have a desire to do what is righteous.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:14

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28

As a new creature in Christ, each day is a chance to turn the page on an old way of life and embrace a new one through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

The idea of completely surrendering ourselves to God while depending on Him to bring those goals about according to His will means that we entrust our future not to ourselves but to God.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3

When God is at the centre of our lives, abiding in Him means our goals can succeed; if it is God’s will for something to be fulfilled, it will come to pass.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5

The new year should also be a time of renewing old commitments under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Asking God to help us to:

Increase our prayer life (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Read, study, and meditate on the word of God every day (2 Timothy 2:15).

Overcome temptations to sin (Romans 12:2).

Be a part of the Great Commission (Mark 16:15).

Fasting (Matthew 6:17-18)

The proper response to the past year, whether good or bad, is not "I made it through" or "Look what I achieved." It is "Thank You, Lord God Almighty."

Happy New Year to everyone!

Blessings in Christ,

David & Gay

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FEEL WORRIED?

Worry is feeling anxious or troubled about what is happening or might happen. In these times, people are worrying about the rising cost of living (gas, electric, fuel, food price rises), unemployment, financial hardships, poverty, climate change (droughts, floods, ice cap melting), wars, increased crime rate, etc.

Anxiety is a fact of life. The world is full of stress and pressure. A lot of people turn to alcohol, drugs, food intake (comfort eating), some divert their attention to materialism, good works, exercise, anything that tries to keep them temporarily happy or appease their conscience, etc.

Jesus Christ encourages us not to worry about our physical needs like clothing, food, and drink. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things, but seek God first and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you. Therefore, we shouldn’t worry about anything (Matthew 6:25–34).

Being Bible-believing born-again Christians does not remove worries or stress, but whatever trials we face, we do not face them alone; there is a way to cope with difficult situations. God loves humanity and wants us to have a relationship with Him.

Prayer is part of that relationship with God and asking Him for help in every area of our lives and everything that concerns us. The Bible says not to worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication (ask humbly and earnestly). We should bring all our needs to God in prayer rather than worry.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

In fact, we are to cast all our care upon Him. God is telling us to give our cares, worries, and concerns to Him because He cares for us.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge and strength. We have confidence in God that He will never fail us.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

As God leads us, He will work out all things for our good. Sometimes we are dealing with things that worry and discourage us, God has the ability to use what we’re going through for His glory. God always encourages us. He sees the big picture; His plan is perfect because He is omniscient (knows everything).

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Psalm 147:5

For those who do not know the Lord God Almighty, worry and anxiety will have a great impact on their lives. We don’t focus on our problems; we put our trust in Christ alone. Worries and anxiety are temporary and have no comparison to what eternity with the Lord holds for us.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

When you repent (to be sorry for who you are and what you are), believe, and trust in Jesus Christ alone through His death, burial, and resurrection, then His precious blood shed on the cross is more than sufficient to cleanse you from all sins.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:14

You will have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what life may bring. When we trust in His will for our lives, we have peace that surpasses all understanding. Read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

CHRISTIAN VIEW OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Some scientists believe that greenhouse gas emissions are damaging to the environment and are causing climate change. Some environmentalists are so worried about protecting the earth. Others promote climate change for financial gain.

As Bible-believing born-again Christians, we are not denying that we should care for creation and our environment as God commands us.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28

What does the Bible say about climate change? Not much. The Bible prophesied of what could be considered climate change would be the end times of disaster. Yet these prophecies which are yet to happen have nothing to do with greenhouse gas emissions as these are the result of man’s doing which we are all a part of.

One day God’s wrath shall pour out justice on an increasingly wicked world.

And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. Revelation 16:8,9

There is nothing wrong with going green, trying to reduce carbon footprint, solar panels, windmills, and other energy sources but we must remember what saves mankind is the Christian gospel which needs to be heard, especially with the united voice of the world that seems like climate change is the issue above all others. That is a lie from Satan. The Bible tells us that this whole world lieth in wickedness.

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 1 John 5:19

We remember that God is Sovereign and this world is not our home. God will one day destroy this present earth in which there will be fervent heat and the earth will be burned and replaced with the New Heaven and New Earth.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:1

Many people nowadays are so worried about climate change and its effects, which lead to environmental challenges such as images of droughts, melting glaciers, floods, wildfires, etc are heart-breaking but how much more terrifying fire awaits people who die without Jesus Christ, there is no second chance, for those whose names are not written in the Book of Life.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

However, we should not let environmental changes consume our thoughts, where things that God created are held in higher esteem than God (which is idolatry). The most urgent need for people throughout the world is to get priorities right. Instead of glorifying climate change, it is time to repent (to be sorry for who you are and what you are. To change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ). Jesus says,

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

When people believe, trust, and have faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone to save them, through His death, burial, and resurrection, His precious divine blood then cleanses them from all of their sins, then you are born again. God will fill you with the Holy Spirit and change you inwardly. Please read the Holy Bible and ask God to help you obey what you read.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

The message of hope we proclaim is not a hope in human endeavour, nor hope in this world but the hope of the eternal world to come. There is only one name whereby we must be saved Jesus Christ alone!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
