ARE YOU READY TO MEET YOUR CREATOR?

 


 

God Almighty is the Creator of the universe, heaven, earth, and everything therein.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossians 1:16-17

When we think about our upbringing, teenage lives, 20s, 30s, etc. as if it were just yesterday, where has the time gone? Our life here on earth is temporal compared to our life in eternity. Yet only a few would think about their eternal destination. Instead, there are many who live a life of pleasure, vanity, or power or don't even care where their soul goes after they die. Many of all walks of life, rich and poor, have rejected the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel with no regard for what awaits them after death. No one is guaranteed tomorrow.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

The reason we die is because we have sinned and violated the moral laws of God Almighty (the Ten Commandments). Human beings have a problem that cannot be ignored. We have all sinned against God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

Ask yourself: Have you ever lied?

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Proverbs 19:5

Have you ever stolen anything regardless of its value?

Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15

Have you blasphemed God’s name?

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7

Have you lusted after someone?

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28

Have you hated someone?

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

If you answered yes, by your own admission, you’re a lying thief, blasphemer, adulterer, and murderer at heart. Sin is so serious for a holy, just, and righteous God. We are all on death row; we have a big blue sky as our holding cell, great air conditioning, the privilege of everything we see and hear that God created, and the pleasure of eating and drinking, yet we are all standing in a line waiting to die, and it should be our greatest concern to know where we will end up after death. Our appointment with death comes with an unavoidable judgement.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27

Those who die in unbelief are unforgiven and will experience the eternal fires of hell, away from the presence of the Lord. Unrepentant sinners consciously suffer pain and thirst from an unquenchable fire, and the horror is so great that there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:42

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:5

Our Creator is the God of love and mercy and has provided us hope in our helpless state. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as a substitutional atonement to die for sinners. Jesus shed His precious blood to cleanse us from all our sins and save us from the wrath to come the moment we believe, repent and trust in Him through His death, burial, and resurrection.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

1 John 3:5

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 1:14

Those who believe, and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save them are forgiven and will experience everlasting joy in heaven. When you are in Christ, you have great assurance of eternal security with Him. Only then can you be ready to meet your Creator.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28

HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN IN CHRIST

 



Church attendance, baptism, confirmation, good works and speaking in tongues doesn’t save you. You’re only saved when you’re born again.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God John 3:3 

To be born again is quite simple: Recognize that you are a sinner, that you are unworthy, that you have broken God’s Law (the Ten Commandments) and that you deserve to go to hell.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death Revelation 21:8 

Realize that Jesus Christ died for your sins. A description of God’s love toward us. It is love given to the undeserving, to the ungodly, and to sinners. This emphasises the fact that the reasons for God’s love are found in Him, not in us. God’s love is so great that He went to the ultimate length to pay for our sins through Jesus; God gave His love for us even when we were guilty sinners.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8 

God commands everyone to repent. To repent is to change your mind from the rejection of Jesus Christ to the faith in Jesus Christ that produces a change of heart. 

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead Acts 17:30-31

Believe in the death, burial and resurrection, put your faith, and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you and you will pass from death to eternal life and become a new creature in Christ. Read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life John 5:24 

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new 2 Corinthians 5:17 

This is a promise for anyone! It doesn’t matter what class, what race, what nationality, what language, or what level of intelligence. Anyone can be a new creation in Jesus Christ. However, being a new creation doesn’t mean that we are perfect; it means that we are changed inwardly, and learn through God’s word (the Holy Bible) and the power of the Holy Spirit how we should live being born again in Christ.

ARE YOU A PEOPLE PLEASER?

 



A people-pleaser is someone who finds it hard to say no to others and earnestly tries to please them. Someone who cares a lot about whether other people like them and feels good to be liked by others. People-pleasers appear to be selfless, kind, and generous. They strive to please everyone because oftentimes they are trying to appease themselves.

Jesus Christ loved, served, healed, and gave all of Himself to save people from their sin, but He was also not afraid to say what needed to be said, even when people got angry. He rebuked religious people in public for their hypocrisy and their lack of faith (Matthew 23). He lived to glorify, obey, and please the Father.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. John 8:29 

The apostles told the truth and obeyed God, rather than acting on the opinions and expectations of others, they were not afraid to tell the truth to the people.

 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19,20 

The gospel of Jesus Christ, is the only gospel. The Bible says if anyone preach any other gospel unto you let him be accursed. The apostle Paul did not please men but rather served and lived for Christ.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:9,10 

People-pleasing is sin. People commit idolatry when they create a god in their minds to suit themselves by seeking approval from human beings rather than seeking God. When we meditate on God’s word, we will overcome any temptations of sin.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3 

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 

Even in Jesus' time, some people believed His message but refused to follow Him because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. People-pleasing can lead to separation from God.

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42,43 

We must find motivation by reading and meditating on the word of God, which tells us that everything we do is for the glory of God.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:13 


Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 

Our goal is to please God and be led by the Holy Spirit to live in order to honour and please His name, not to please others or ourselves. 

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:10 

You either saved or unsaved. Jesus judged the people due to their sin. You cannot bribe the Lord of the Universe. If there’s a sin in your life and you don’t deal with it, He will deal with you. If you lied, you’re a liar. If you steal, you’re a thief. If you take God’s name in vain, you’re a blasphemer. If you hate someone, you’re a murderer at heart. He will judge your heart and your thoughts.

For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11 

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12 

You can be set free from the bonds of sin and people-pleasing when you believe, repent and trust alone in Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. His precious blood will cleanse you from all sin. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit, born-again, with a new heart and desire to serve God and please Him. Please read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to reveal Himself to you through His holy words and help you obey what you read.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8

THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT

 



As we enter the Christmas season, when many people are focused on giving and receiving gifts, we would like to tell you about the most precious gift anyone could ever receive because of its eternal value. The Bible says a virgin shall be with child, and He shall be called Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 

What does this really mean? Are we not good people? Do we really need someone to save us from our sins? To clearly understand what Christmas is about, we must try to look at ourselves the way God sees us, and the way we do that is examine ourselves by His Laws (Ten Commandments).

Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of its value? Have you ever used God's name in vain (as a cuss word)? Have you ever hated someone? Have you ever looked at someone with lust?

If you tell a lie, that makes you a liar (Revelation 21:8). If you've stolen anything, regardless of its value, that makes you a thief (Exodus 20:15). If you've used God's name in vain, you're a blasphemer (Exodus 20:7). If you hate someone, you're a murderer at heart (1 John 3:15). If you've looked at a person with lust, you're committing adultery in your heart (Matthew 5:27,28).

If you've answered yes to these five questions, by your own admission, you're a liar, thief, blasphemer, murderer, and adulterer at heart. We've only looked at five of the Ten Commandments; that's how God sees you; nothing is hidden from His holy eyes.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14

If God judges you by His standard, will you be innocent or guilty of breaking His laws (Ten Commandments)? Many people will admit to being guilty, but they may believe that God is good, that He forgives, and that He will overlook their sins. God is good, and because He is good, He will give a righteous judgment, or else He will be a corrupt judge.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 

You and I will be guilty when we stand before God, but God did something wonderful for us so that we wouldn’t have to go to hell. Do you know what that was? He sent His Son, Jesus Christ born of a virgin, perfect and sinless, to die for the payment of our sins on the cross, buried then He rose on the third day and defeated sin and death so that we could have everlasting life.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23 

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 

That’s why Jesus Christ was born—"to save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21) and suffer punishment in your place. If you believe, repent, put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as the only one who can save you, then God will forgive you because Jesus precious blood shed on the cross is more than enough to cleanse you from all of your sins.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7 

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7 

Please don’t refuse this heavenly free gift of salvation from God, which is available to anyone: a love story written in blood on the cross over than 2000 years ago. All glory to God for His incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Those who receive this incredible gift of salvation through God’s love, mercy, and grace will never suffer the eternal punishment in hell that they deserved.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 

May you find the true meaning of Christmas because it always begins with Christ.

THE DECEPTION OF CALVINISM

 


Calvinism is a system of theology that attempts to explain the relationship between God's sovereignty and man's responsibility in the matter of salvation. Calvinism is named after John Calvin a French theologian who live from 1509-1564. John Calvin got this doctrine of Calvinism from Augustine.

The teaching of Calvinism (TULIP, 5 points) which is usually:

Total Depravity - Means that you're so deprived and dead in your sin, you don't even have the ability to come to God on your own accord. This is not true.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved Romans 10:13

Unconditional Election - Is the view that God elect individuals to salvation based entirely on His will. Some believe that you have been predestined to hell and others believe that you have been predestined to heaven. We reject that completely. God does not predestine anyone to hell.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9

Limited atonement - The most controversial of the 5 points. It is the belief that Jesus only died for the elect. This is not true because Jesus died for all but that His death is not effectual until a person repents, believes, and trust in Lord Jesus Christ alone.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life John 3:16

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel Mark 1:15

Irresistible Grace - Calvinist believe God calls a person to salvation, that a person will inevitably comes to salvation. This is not true; God calls all to salvation but many people resist and reject His call.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:30,31

Perseverance of the Saints - Refers to the concept that a person who is elected by God will persevere in faith and will not permanently deny Christ.

The work has been already been done at the cross of calvary. Jesus said "It is finished."

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost John 19:30

We hold to eternal security, once saved always saved.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand John 10:28

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6

Ultimately it is our view that this system fails in their attempt to explain the unexplainable. How do you know you've been chosen by God? Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you just confirmed you've been chosen by God, because God gives you a choice in the matter.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:9,10

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FEEL WORRIED?

 



Worry is feeling anxious or troubled about what is happening or might happen. In these times, people are worrying about the rising cost of living (gas, electric, fuel, food price rises), unemployment, financial hardships, poverty, climate change (droughts, floods, ice cap melting), wars, increased crime rate, etc.

Anxiety is a fact of life. The world is full of stress and pressure. A lot of people turn to alcohol, drugs, food intake (comfort eating), some divert their attention to materialism, good works, exercise, anything that tries to keep them temporarily happy or appease their conscience, etc.

Jesus Christ encourages us not to worry about our physical needs like clothing, food, and drink. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things, but seek God first and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you. Therefore, we shouldn’t worry about anything (Matthew 6:25–34).

Being Bible-believing born-again Christians does not remove worries or stress, but whatever trials we face, we do not face them alone; there is a way to cope with difficult situations. God loves humanity and wants us to have a relationship with Him.

Prayer is part of that relationship with God and asking Him for help in every area of our lives and everything that concerns us. The Bible says not to worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication (ask humbly and earnestly). We should bring all our needs to God in prayer rather than worry.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6 

In fact, we are to cast all our care upon Him. God is telling us to give our cares, worries, and concerns to Him because He cares for us.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 

The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge and strength. We have confidence in God that He will never fail us.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 

As God leads us, He will work out all things for our good. Sometimes we are dealing with things that worry and discourage us, God has the ability to use what we’re going through for His glory. God always encourages us. He sees the big picture; His plan is perfect because He is omniscient (knows everything).

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Psalm 147:5 

For those who do not know the Lord God Almighty, worry and anxiety will have a great impact on their lives. We don’t focus on our problems; we put our trust in Christ alone. Worries and anxiety are temporary and have no comparison to what eternity with the Lord holds for us.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 

When you repent (to be sorry for who you are and what you are), believe, and trust in Jesus Christ alone through His death, burial, and resurrection, then His precious blood shed on the cross is more than sufficient to cleanse you from all sins.

 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:14 

You will have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what life may bring. When we trust in His will for our lives, we have peace that surpasses all understanding. Read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
