BIBLE VERSES ABOUT LAW AND COMMANDMENT

Deuteronomy 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Joshua 1:8-9 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 22:36-39 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Luke 6:27-28 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Acts 13:38-39 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Romans 3:19-20 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 13:8-10 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

John 3:18-19 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Acts 17:30-31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Jude 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

BIBLE VERSES ABOUT PROTECTION

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Psalms 18:2-3 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalms 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalms 91:1-6 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Psalms 91:7-12 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psalms 91:13-16 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Ephesians 6:10-14 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Ephesians 6:15-18 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

HOW COULD A GOOD AND LOVING GOD SEND SOMEONE TO HELL?

Why can’t God just forgive and let everyone into heaven? Why will someone go to hell? In asking these questions, they reveal that they do not understand the love and goodness of God and the wickedness of sin. God’s love is a holy love, not an emotional love. God is loving, yes, but that’s not all He is. He’s also a good judge. Should a loving human judge allow the criminals to go free? Of course not. If we, with our finite justice system, think it is necessary to punish criminals in civil court, how much more should an infinite God judge our crimes or our sins against Him. The Bible tells us that God alone is holy, He is the standard of all that is right, virtuous, and good. His nature is pure.

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2

People will go to hell when they die because they have sinned and violated the moral laws of God the Ten Commandments (1 John 3:4). Some people reject the reality of hell. Creating a false image of God in your mind, anything you love, treasure, or prioritise more than God is a form of idolatry, which is sin.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1:25

Think of it like this: if we were to light a match and place it next to a dried-out leaf, what would happen? Well, the fire consumes the leaf? Why? It is because they’re different, their natures are opposed to one another. In the same way, God and man’s nature are opposite. On the day of judgement, sinful man will not be able to stand in the presence of a holy God because of their opposing natures. The issue is not God’s love, the issue is His holiness. He is described as a consuming fire who dwells in unapproachable light.

For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

God has no pleasure in wickedness, hates workers of sin (iniquity), and destroys those that speak leasing (lying, falsehood). Sadly, not everyone will go to heaven, many will go to hell.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. Psalm 5:4-6

God is good, and that is why He does something about sin. He will judge righteously. God has no respect of persons. God will be so thorough that he will consider hatred to be murder of the heart and will judge all humanity right down to our words, thoughts, and intents of our hearts.

For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14

In our evil, wicked, sinful state, there is no way we can approach God. Our only hope is to somehow take on the same nature as God. We must be Born-Again.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:3,7

When you repent to be sorry for who you are and what you are, believing and trusting in Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, God will impute His righteousness to you. It is imperative that you are given this new nature (born-again) since each of us is headed towards our own personal judgement day. He is coming to judge the world. He will judge the world in righteousness.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:30-31

Jesus Christ's precious blood shed on the cross is more than enough to cleanse you from all your sins. God will change you inwardly (born-again) through the Holy Spirit and you will be saved from the wrath to come. Please read the Bible daily and ask God to help you to obey what you read.

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:9

The problem isn’t with God, the problem is our sin! How about you? Where do you think you will go after you die? Heaven or Hell?

Blessings in Christ,

David & Gay

ARE YOU A PEOPLE PLEASER?

A people-pleaser is someone who finds it hard to say no to others and earnestly tries to please them. Someone who cares a lot about whether other people like them and feels good to be liked by others. People-pleasers appear to be selfless, kind, and generous. They strive to please everyone because oftentimes they are trying to appease themselves.

Jesus Christ loved, served, healed, and gave all of Himself to save people from their sin, but He was also not afraid to say what needed to be said, even when people got angry. He rebuked religious people in public for their hypocrisy and their lack of faith (Matthew 23). He lived to glorify, obey, and please the Father.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. John 8:29

The apostles told the truth and obeyed God, rather than acting on the opinions and expectations of others, they were not afraid to tell the truth to the people.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19,20

The gospel of Jesus Christ, is the only gospel. The Bible says if anyone preach any other gospel unto you let him be accursed. The apostle Paul did not please men but rather served and lived for Christ.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.Galatians 1:9,10

People-pleasing is sin. People commit idolatry when they create a god in their minds to suit themselves by seeking approval from human beings rather than seeking God. When we meditate on God’s word, we will overcome any temptations of sin.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Even in Jesus' time, some people believed His message but refused to follow Him because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. People-pleasing can lead to separation from God.

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42,43

We must find motivation by reading and meditating on the word of God, which tells us that everything we do is for the glory of God.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
1 Timothy 4:13

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.1 Corinthians 10:31

Our goal is to please God and be led by the Holy Spirit to live in order to honour and please His name, not to please others or ourselves.

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:10

You either saved or unsaved. Jesus judged the people due to their sin. You cannot bribe the Lord of the Universe. If there’s a sin in your life and you don’t deal with it, He will deal with you. If you lied, you’re a liar (Proverbs 19:5). If you steal, you’re a thief (Exodus 20:15). If you take God’s name in vain, you’re a blasphemer (Exodus 20:7). If you hate someone, you’re a murderer at heart (1 John 3:15). He will judge your heart and your thoughts.

For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12

You can be set free from the bonds of sin and people-pleasing when you believe, repent and trust alone in Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. His precious blood will cleanse you from all sin. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit, born-again, with a new heart and desire to serve God and please Him. Please read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to reveal Himself to you through His holy words and help you obey what you read.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8

IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE?

Our names are a very important part of our identity. They carry personal, family, and historical connections. The Bible says of a book in heaven called the Book of Life, referring to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. This Book records the names of all people who have been forgiven of sin, washed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and will inherit eternal life. The Book of Life, contains the names of the Apostles, Prophets and all those who have believed and trusted in Jesus Christ alone as their Saviour.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27

We have all sinned against God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10

Is your name written in the Book of Life? In order to answer this question, please examine yourself according to the moral laws of God (the Ten Commandments).

If you tell a lie, that makes you a liar.

Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22

If you steal anything, regardless of its value, you’re a thief.
Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15

If you’ve used God’s name in vain, you’re a blasphemer.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7

If you’ve looked with lust, you have committed adultery at heart.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:27-28

If you hate someone, you’re a murderer at heart.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.1 John 3:15

If you answered yes, by your own admission, you’re a lying thieving, blasphemer, adulterer, and murderer at heart. Sin is so serious for a holy, just, and righteous God. Ten out of Ten will die. We are all on death row; we have a big blue sky as our holding cell, great air conditioning, the privilege of everything we see and hear that God created, and the pleasure of eating and drinking, yet we are all standing in a line waiting to die, and it should be our greatest concern to know where we will end up after death. Our appointment with death comes with an unavoidable judgement.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27

Will you be innocent or guilty on the day of Judgement? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in God’s eternal prison a place called Hell. You should be aware of the importance of having your name written in the Book of Life, because if not, hell is awaiting, and that is not God’s will for you.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

To have one’s name written in the Book of Life only happens when you believe, repent (to repent means, to be sorry for who you are and what you are. To change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ) and trust in Jesus Christ alone, what He done for you through His death, burial, and resurrection, His holy and precious blood shed on the cross will cleanse you from all sin. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit and born again (changed from above).

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:7

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:31

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7

Once a name is written in the Book of Life, Jesus promises that he will never blot it out, giving them eternal security.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

Please make the right decision today so your name gets written in the Book of Life, as no one is guaranteed tomorrow your soul is precious to God.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him

that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

WHY IS THERE SUFFERING?

Why is there suffering? is one of the questions that people ask. How could a good God allow suffering? Many people are victims of natural calamities (earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, droughts, famines), victims of wars, injustice, persecution, neglect, loss of loved ones, accidents, and debilitating illnesses, etc. Consider all those with cancer or people born with crippling diseases, mental and physical, incapable of feeding themselves. Our hearts and prayers have and will go out to them.

Sadly, many use the issue of suffering as an excuse to reject any thought of God, when its existence is the very reason, we should believe in Him. Suffering stands as terrible testimony to the truth of the explanation given by the Word of God.

But how can we know that the Bible is true? Simply by studying the prophecies of Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3, and Luke 21, please take the time with an open heart to read as the Holy Bible is no ordinary book. It is the supernatural testament of our Creator about why there is suffering.

God created heaven and earth, saying over and over, "It was good" (Genesis 1). He made mankind (Adam and Eve) according to His image and likeness and placed them to dwell in His creation. God declared everything "very good."

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27 KJV

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31 KJV

God created humans perfectly and they lived in a perfect world without suffering. When Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they rebelled against God. Sin entered into the world and death by sin. God cursed the earth because they sinned and drove them out of the garden of Eden. When sin entered the world, death and misery came with it (Genesis 3).

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12 KJV

Some people suffer as a result of their sin, such as the man Jesus healed at the Bethesda pool (John 5:1–15). This man had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. The man who was physically healed, Jesus later found him in the temple and warned him to sin no more or else a worse thing could happen to him.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John 5:14 KJV

Some people suffer for God’s glory, such as the man in the Bible who was born blind. This man’s blindness was not the result of his sins or his parents sins; rather that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
John 9:1-3 KJV

The greatest suffering of all happened when God gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, who was made to be sin for us who knew no sin. Jesus laid down His life willingly, betrayed, falsely accused, mocked, scourged, gambled over. He suffered tremendous beatings by Roman soldiers, humiliation, and the agony of crucifixion. He took the punishment we deserved by bearing our sins and the sins of the entire world, dying in our place, buried, resurrected after three days, many appearances, was seen by over 500 people at one time, conquered sin and death in order to provide the free gift of salvation. (Isaiah 53 and the four Gospels and 1 Corinthians 15).

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him Romans 5:8-9 KJV

We believe that God is sovereign! Omnipotent (all-powerful), Omniscient (all-knowing), Omnipresent (to be everywhere at once). We cannot know the mind of God, and He can use suffering to draw us closer to Him. In this world we suffer as Bible-believing, born-again Christians, but through God’s grace we have inner peace knowing He has overcome the world.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world John 16:33 KJV

Trials and tribulations help us grow and are part of what it means to be human in a fallen world. We experienced God’s comfort through trials and tribulations. We are then able to comfort others.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 KJV

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 KJV

The Bible encourages us to look forward to the things to come. Present suffering is nothing compared to future glory.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 KJV

Some people will think and ask, "When will the suffering of this world end?" God is powerful enough to remove all the suffering in the world, but He would need to wipe out all of humanity. If God were to show up at 12:00 noon to get rid of all the suffering in the world, where would you be at 12:01? Heaven or Hell? It is only by God’s mercy that He delays His judgement. He is waiting to give people the opportunity to repent.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV

To repent is to ask forgiveness from sin, to be sorry for who you are and what you are. To change your mind from the rejection of Jesus Christ to the faith of Jesus Christ. To believe and trust in Jesus Christ alone and the sacrifice made through His precious blood shed on the cross through His death, burial, and resurrection. God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. God will give you a new nature (born-again) and He will walk with you through the Holy Spirit. Eternal life is a free gift. You can’t earn it by doing good works (Ephesians 2:8,9).

In heaven there will be no more suffering, no tears, no death, nor sorrow for the former things are passed away.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 KJV

CHRISTIAN VIEW OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Some scientists believe that greenhouse gas emissions are damaging to the environment and are causing climate change. Some environmentalists are so worried about protecting the earth. Others promote climate change for financial gain.

As Bible-believing born-again Christians, we are not denying that we should care for creation and our environment as God commands us.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28

What does the Bible say about climate change? Not much. The Bible prophesied of what could be considered climate change would be the end times of disaster. Yet these prophecies which are yet to happen have nothing to do with greenhouse gas emissions as these are the result of man’s doing which we are all a part of.

One day God’s wrath shall pour out justice on an increasingly wicked world.

And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. Revelation 16:8,9

There is nothing wrong with going green, trying to reduce carbon footprint, solar panels, windmills, and other energy sources but we must remember what saves mankind is the Christian gospel which needs to be heard, especially with the united voice of the world that seems like climate change is the issue above all others. That is a lie from Satan. The Bible tells us that this whole world lieth in wickedness.

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 1 John 5:19

We remember that God is Sovereign and this world is not our home. God will one day destroy this present earth in which there will be fervent heat and the earth will be burned and replaced with the New Heaven and New Earth.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:1

Many people nowadays are so worried about climate change and its effects, which lead to environmental challenges such as images of droughts, melting glaciers, floods, wildfires, etc are heart-breaking but how much more terrifying fire awaits people who die without Jesus Christ, there is no second chance, for those whose names are not written in the Book of Life.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

However, we should not let environmental changes consume our thoughts, where things that God created are held in higher esteem than God (which is idolatry). The most urgent need for people throughout the world is to get priorities right. Instead of glorifying climate change, it is time to repent (to be sorry for who you are and what you are. To change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ). Jesus says,

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

When people believe, trust, and have faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone to save them, through His death, burial, and resurrection, His precious divine blood then cleanses them from all of their sins, then you are born again. God will fill you with the Holy Spirit and change you inwardly. Please read the Holy Bible and ask God to help you obey what you read.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

The message of hope we proclaim is not a hope in human endeavour, nor hope in this world but the hope of the eternal world to come. There is only one name whereby we must be saved Jesus Christ alone!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
