1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1 Peter 2:6-7 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

HOW TO BE SAVED

SIN
Sin is a transgression against God’s Holy Law an act of rebellion against Him.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law
1 John 3:4

Sin is knowing what is right and not doing it.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin James 4:17

Adam’s sin brought condemnation to all men.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned Romans 5:12

The effects of sin are guilt, enslavement, spiritual bondage and separation from God and its punishment is eternal death.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Romans 6:23

Sin has a high price, sin is deception, the most vicious kind of deception is to get to the end of your life and to discover the thing you believe in to be the absolute truth was an absolute lie. Sin is not what we say it is, or what you think it is, sin is what God's word says it is.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us 1 John 1:8,10

JUDGEMENT
Judgement every man and woman who dies will stand before God in judgement.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment Hebrews 9:27

Everything you hold dear to you is going to be torn from your hands by death. Whether we like it or not, we are all part of the ultimate statistic: Ten out of ten die. Death happens because we have sinned and violated the moral laws of God the Ten Commandments.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23

Have you ever lied, (even once, white lies etc.)?

Ever stolen (anything regardless of its value)?

Jesus said, “but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Have you ever looked with lust?

If you said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. That's how God sees you. Nothing is hidden from His holy eyes.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil Ecclesiastes 12:14

Will you be innocent or guilty on the day of judgement? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in God’s eternal prison a place called hell.
That's not God's will.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death Revelation 21:8

REPENTANCE
The goodness of God leads us to repentance.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 2:4

To repent is to be sorry for who you are and what you are, change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ, from rejection of Jesus Christ to the faith in Jesus Christ, to recognize that He is indeed "Lord and Saviour”. The Prophets, Apostles and even our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called for repentance.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish Luke 13:3

SALVATION
However, the Holy Bible says God is rich in mercy, and in His great kindness, He provided a Saviour, Jesus took the punishment for the sin of the world. He died on the cross, so that we could be forgiven, then He rose from the dead and defeated death.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

To receive everlasting life as a free gift, believe, and trust in the lord Jesus Christ alone.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:9-10

The sacrifice made through His precious blood shed on the cross through His death, burial, and resurrection.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him Romans 5:8-9

God will forgive your sins and you will pass from death unto life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from
death unto life John 5:24

God will give you a new nature, Born Again filled with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God John 3:3

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new 2 Corinthians 5:17

Eternal life is a free gift. You can’t earn it by doing anything.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast Ephesians 2:8-9

Pray, read the Holy Bible daily being led by the Holy Spirit and ask God to help you obey what you read.

Blessings in Christ,

ONE STEP CLOSER TO ETERNAL HOPE

We thank our Lord God Almighty for granting us another new year. For His marvellous grace that sustains us for His glory. We thank all our readers and viewers of ‘One Way to Grace.’ For all those who have been a blessing to us, especially to our brothers and sisters in Christ, who continually pray for us.

New Year is here, and, for many, it’s a time to make some resolutions. In other words, we set goals to help us accomplish things. It's good to have goals, but sometimes the emphasis then becomes about what we need to do in our own strength rather than acknowledging and relying on God's grace (God’s great mercy and unmerited favour) to help us in achieving those goals according to His will. We should rely on God in everything; whether the goal is big or small, we should entrust it to God and look up to Him, because God is sovereign, our Creator, and the source of all mankind.

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

As we wait for the blessed hope, the joyful assurance that God has given us. We look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13

The Lord Jesus will come again and take with Him into heaven all those who believe and trust in Him alone to be saved (Rapture). He takes away all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgement to be poured out on the earth. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with all living believers, who will also be given glorified bodies at that time.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17

Time is of the essence; the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. We don't want you to be left behind and be under His righteous judgment. Please examine yourselves as we enter this new year to see if you have violated the moral laws of God, the Ten Commandments.

Have you ever lied?

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. Proverbs 19:9

Have you taken anything that does not belong to you regardless of its value?

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.1 Corinthians 6:10

Have you taken the name of God in vain?

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Deuteronomy 5:11

Have you lusted after someone or had sex before marriage?

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27,28

Have you hated someone? (murder of the heart).

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

If you have answered yes to these questions, by your own admission, you're a lying, thieving, blasphemer, adulterer, and murderer at heart. That's how God sees you, and nothing is hidden from His holy eyes. If you have violated any of God's moral laws, you will be guilty on Judgement Day, and you will end up in God's eternal prison called hell.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9

You don’t want to go to hell, we don’t want you to go there. Good news, Praise God for He is rich in mercy; God made a way (John 14:6) He provided a Saviour, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from the wrath of God through the judgement to come. When you believe, change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ alone, and what Jesus has done for you through His precious blood shed on the cross, through the death, burial, and resurrection. God will cleanse you from all sin past, present and future sins forgiven (John 19:30). God will change you inwardly (Born Again), through the Holy Spirit; your place in heaven is prepared for you. God is so gracious to you that He granted you another new year, another chance for you to come to Him; nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 6:47

Blessing in Christ,

WHAT IS THE REAL REASON FOR CHRISTMAS?

Throughout the world, many people celebrate Christmas, and are even carried away on the commercial side of Christmas, spending excessively on many things. Do you know the real reason for Christmas? As we draw closer to Christmas, many of you have your minds on loved ones, buying gifts, decors, parties, food, clothes, etc. Is your mind on God? Is your mind on Jesus? Are you thankful for the gift of Jesus? We should not forget the reason why Jesus Christ was born; the name Jesus means ‘God saves’ and that is what He came to do to save humanity from sin, from the wrath of God, and offer the free gift of salvation which is the greatest gift of all, eternal life! We use Christmas as a time to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and give thanks to God for giving His only begotten Son and the love, hope, joy and peace found in Jesus.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

There are many prophecies concerning the birth of the Lord Jesus throughout the Old Testament that were and are being fulfilled in the New Testament.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11

The prophet Isaiah prophecies the birth of Christ through a virgin and promise of His coming, which was fulfilled in the New Testament.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23

None of us deserve the free gift of salvation, yet God gives it freely because of His great love for us. How do we receive the free gift of salvation? We have to realize that we all deserve to go to hell. We have to consider that we are sinners, someone who is not worthy and has broken the Ten Commandments, God’s moral laws. Please examine yourselves in the light of God’s word.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

Thou shalt have no other gods before me: People commit idolatry when they create a god in their minds to suit themselves.

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15

Thou shalt not covet: Excessive wantonness to want what others have is covetous.

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Proverbs 19:5

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour: If you lie, that makes you a liar.

Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15

Thou shalt not steal: If you’ve taken anything that does not belong to you, you’re a thief.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: If you’ve used God’s name in vain, you’re a blasphemer.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

Thou shalt not kill: If you hate someone, you’re a murderer at heart.

We have only looked at six of the Ten Commandments. If you’ve answered yes to any of these, then by your own admission you’re a lying, thieving, covetous, blasphemer, murderer, and an idolater at heart. That’s how God sees you nothing is hid from His eyes. God is holy, just, righteous and will even judge our thoughts, words and deeds. This how serious is sin to God. If you violated any of God’s laws, you will be guilty on Judgement Day. The penalty of sin is death, and you will end up in a terrible place called Hell.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Good news: God has made a way through His only begotten Son, Jesus (John 14:6), to escape this eternal damnation of Hell. The only way you can receive the free gift of salvation is to believe, repent from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ, be sorry for who you are and what you are, and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Saviour and the work He did on the cross of Calvary through His death and burial and resurrection. His precious blood will cleanse you from sin, and you will be born again, filled with the Holy Spirit with a new heart and desire to do what’s righteous and pass from death unto life, Heaven. Please read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8-9

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

This Christmas, we pray that you remember what Jesus did for us and may appreciate the greatest gift of all Salvation through the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORD’S, Jesus Christ our Saviour!

May you have a blessed Christmas.

David & Gay

HOW CAN WE TELL A FALSE TEACHER?

The Bible has a lot to say about false teachers. It was a serious problem in the early church and still is up to this present day. False teachers will deviate, add, or take away from the word of God. False teaching is dangerous, deceptive and leads people away from God instead of toward Him. The Lord Jesus Christ warned against false teachers (Matthew7:15-23, Mark 13:5,6) The apostle Peter discusses in detail the danger and destructiveness of the evil ministry of false teachers whose interest are not in God, but in self- glorification and worldly lusts (2 Peter 2). John the apostle warns the believers not to be deceived by the false doctrines being spread and encourages Christians to beware of that spirit of antichrist, and to test the spirits to see whether they are from God or not (1 John 4:1-3). Jude warns believers need to beware of false teachers infiltrating the churches (Jude). Paul the apostle instructs Titus to rebuke false teachers (Titus 1:10-16), and predicts the coming of false teachers (1 Timothy 4:1-3).

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mark 13:5,6

False teachers hold their follower’s captive with a false gospel adding works to the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who teach faith and works to be saved, deny the truth of God’s word, that salvation is a free gift of grace, wholly dependent on faith in Jesus Christ alone. As Paul the apostle says in the Book of Galatians if any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9

Satan transforms himself and his ministers into an angels of light, false teachers, masquerade as servants of righteousness, in many organized religions, the isms of the world following their leaders like Mormonism, Catholicism, Islamism, Seventh day Adventism, Judaism etc these systems are counterfeit, with many deceitful workers preaching another gospel, faith and works based, to be saved instead of believing and putting their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone and the finished work of the cross of Calvary. There are many religions that claim to know and believe in Jesus, but that does not mean they’re referring to the same Jesus of the Bible. Example: Mormonism believes that Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer; Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus is Michael the Archangel; Muslims believe that Jesus is just a prophet; and Bahais believe that Jesus is a messenger, these are certainly not the Jesus of the Holy Bible.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Sometimes it is difficult to recognize a false teacher and the most effective way to defend the truth of God against false teachers is to be led by the Holy Spirit (John14:26, Romans 8:14) and carefully examine what they say to see if it is in line with God’s word, just like the Bereans did in Acts 17. We can also identify false teachers by reading and studying the word of God, the Holy Bible.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Tragically, many are misled and deceived about the most important issue of their lives: their eternal destination (Heaven or Hell). Please do not be carried away by false teachers, who preach lies, false doctrine, craftiness, deceit and pervert the true gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible, must be the only standard to examine yourself and others by. You need to be born again, get out of that system, believe, repent and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you through His precious blood that will cleanse you from all sin. There is no other route to eternal life, there is only one way and Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Mark 1:15

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Blessings in Christ.

GOD’S GRACE

G.R.A.C.E. is God’s Righteousness At Christ's Expense. Truly, we cannot fathom God’s grace as we cannot fully fathom God Almighty (Romans 11:33–36, Isaiah 55:8–9). The word Grace is mentioned 170 times in the King James Version, of the Holy Bible with the first reference in (Genesis 6:8) and the last in (Revelation 22:21). Grace is God’s great mercy and unmerited favour towards sinners. God gives grace, though we don’t deserve it. God’s grace is freely given and cannot be earned. The Lord Jesus Christ is the representation of grace and truth; He is the dispenser of grace.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Grace reflects the all-sufficient work of the Lord Jesus Christ through the finished work of the cross of Calvary and therefore, is the only means by which sinners can be saved through faith in Christ alone. Salvation is a free gift completely dependent on God’s grace and cannot be earned through good works, self-righteousness or efforts to save oneself or to stay saved.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9

God's grace offers forgiveness to mankind when you believe, repent, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Grace does not stop once saved; we are made heirs of eternal life. Grace justifies us before a holy God.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 8:12

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:7

Grace grants us access by faith to have an intimate relationship and fellowship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit, and continually sustains, upholds, and helps us through each and every day.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

God's grace grants you a place in heaven eternally with Him if you receive His offer of the free gift of salvation when you believe, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ alone, through His death, burial, resurrection, and His precious blood that will cleanse you from all sin.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2,3
