And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 KJV
There are many prophecies concerning the birth of the Lord Jesus throughout the Old Testament that were and are being fulfilled in the New Testament.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11
The prophet Isaiah prophecies the birth of Christ through a virgin and promise of His coming, which was fulfilled in the New Testament.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 KJV
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23 KJV
None of us deserve the free gift of salvation, yet God gives it freely because of His great love for us. How do we receive the free gift of salvation? We have to realize that we all deserve to go to hell. We have to consider that we are sinners, someone who is not worthy and has broken the Ten Commandments, God’s moral laws. Please examine yourselves in the light of God’s word.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3
Thou shalt have no other gods before me: People
commit idolatry when they create a god in their minds to suit themselves.
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15 KJV
Thou shalt not covet: Excessive wantonness to want
what others have is covetous.
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
Proverbs 19:5 KJV
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour:
If you lie, that makes you a liar.
Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15 KJV
Thou shalt not steal: If you’ve taken anything that
does not belong to you, you’re a thief.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7 KJV
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain:
If you’ve used God’s name in vain, you’re a blasphemer.
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15 KJV
Thou shalt not kill: If you hate someone, you’re a
murderer at heart.
We have only looked at six of the Ten Commandments. If you’ve answered yes to any of these, then by your own admission you’re a lying, thieving, covetous, blasphemer, murderer, and an idolater at heart. That’s how God sees you nothing is hid from His eyes. God is holy, just, righteous and will even judge our thoughts, words and deeds. This how serious is sin to God. If you violated any of God’s laws, you will be guilty on Judgement Day. The penalty of sin is death, and you will end up in a terrible place called Hell.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31 KJV
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 KJV
Good news: God has made a way through His only begotten Son, Jesus (John 14:6), to escape this eternal damnation of Hell. The only way you can receive the free gift of salvation is to believe, repent from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ, be sorry for who you are and what you are, and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Saviour and the work He did on the cross of Calvary through His death and burial and resurrection. His precious blood will cleanse you from sin, and you will be born again, filled with the Holy Spirit with a new heart and desire to do what’s righteous and pass from death unto life, Heaven. Please read the Holy Bible daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8-9 KJV
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12 KJV
This Christmas, we pray that you remember what Jesus did for us and may appreciate the greatest gift of all Salvation through the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORD’S, Jesus Christ our Saviour!
May you have a blessed Christmas.
David & Gay
