Church attendance, baptism, confirmation, good works and
speaking in tongues doesn’t save you. You’re only saved when you’re born again.
Jesus answered
and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God John 3:3 KJV
To be born again is quite simple:
Recognize that you are a sinner, that you are unworthy,
that you have broken God’s Law (the Ten Commandments) and that you deserve to
go to hell.
But the
fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death Revelation
21:8 KJV
Realize that Jesus Christ died for your sins. A
description of God’s love toward us. It is love given to the undeserving, to
the ungodly, and to sinners. This emphasises the fact that the reasons for
God’s love are found in Him, not in us. God’s love is so great that He went to
the ultimate length to pay for our sins through Jesus; God gave His love for us
even when we were guilty sinners.
But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us Romans 5:8 KJV
Repent of your sins, and change your mind from the
rejection of Jesus Christ to the faith in Jesus Christ that produces a change
of heart. God commands everyone to repent.
And the times
of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to
repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead Acts 17:30-31
KJV
Believe in the death, burial and resurrection, put
your faith, and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you and you will pass from
death to eternal life and become a new creature in Christ. Read the Holy Bible
daily and ask God to help you obey what you read.
Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from
death unto life John 5:24 KJV
Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
This is a promise for anyone! It doesn’t matter what
class, what race, what nationality, what language, or what level of
intelligence. Anyone can be a new creation in Jesus Christ. However, being a
new creation doesn’t mean that we are perfect; it means that we are changed
inwardly, and learn through God’s word (the Holy Bible) and the power of the
Holy Spirit how we should live being born again in Christ.
With Blessing in Christ,
David & Gay
