Funding Grace

The Kickstarter campaign to provide the necessary funding to move forward with One Way to Grace is up an running! David and I are proud of the work that has already been done on the book and are itching to move on with the publisher by our side. In order to do that, though, we need your help and support.

Spreading the word to your friends, family, congregation, and strangers on the bus is just as good as committing a pledge toward our campaign.
Thank you in advance for your love, support, pledges, and excitement!

Making Grace a Reality

Dawn proudly holding the completed manuscript
Well folks, the book is complete.
Proofreading has been done, submissions made, and a publisher is on board! One Way to Grace is quickly becoming a reality, only one more big step to take.

Because I am a new writer, and David is an everyday man with an incredible but unknown story, we need to raise a small amount of money to invest in the publishing efforts. The publisher we are working with is ready to print, promote, market, and distribute the book as soon as David and I are able to make a $2500 investment. Neither David nor I are rich people, but we are sure that God will help us find a way to reach this funding goal.
Throughout my time as a writer, I've heard stories of expensive self-publishing ventures that ended in disappointment. Let me assure you, this is not self-publishing. The investment is much more similar to the cost of hiring an agent, editor, and publicist. Instead of paying for those services out of the percentage of the book's profits we receive (which David can use to more effectively minister and deliver his testimony to the world) we are taking care of it right up-front.
We are reaching out to you, Dear Reader, for any kind of support you can offer. One Way to Grace will touch so many lives, show so many people how faith and trust in God can transform a man. Not to mention the opportunity to put passages from Scripture and an inspiring testimony into the hands, minds, hearts, and souls of those who need God's love and light in their lives. Even as someone who has not accepted Christ or walked the born-again path that David has, I can attest to the beauty this work has brought into my life, the purpose and relationship with God I have felt since first studying Scripture with David over a year ago.

The needed funding goal is a total of $2500. As we make progress toward that goal, I will update readers here and anyone who chooses to contribute will get regular email updates. Plans are currently being made for a way to easily make contributions through an online platform. Until that option goes live, each contribution will need to be handled personally by either me or David. For information on how to contribute to the One Way to Grace publishing efforts, please email onewaytograce@gmail.com .

How Reading Scripture Together Strengthens Your New Marriage

Every couple aims to have a happy and healthy marriage. This could be achieved by putting God Almighty as the head of the relationship.

  1. God Ordained the Marriage
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
    -Genesis 2:24 (KJV)
  2. Pray Together
As it is the only way to communicate to Our Father in Heaven.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
    -Matthew 18:19 (KJV)
  3. FaithBelieve that God Almighty is directing the marriage and surrender every situation in the marriage into God's Hands.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
    -Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
  4. Study the Scriptures TogetherSitting down together in a comfortable and quite place in Our home, then scan the scriptural topics for the area that we feel might help strengthen Our relationship with the Lord, and with each other.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
    -Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
Building a happy, healthy marriage takes a lot of hard work, commitment, time, patience - It is possible by keeping God Almighty at the head of the marriage.

Why God loves us?

This short question is among the most profound questions ever asked. No human would ever be able to answer it sufficiently. One thing is certain, however. God does not love us because we are lovable or because we deserve His love. If anything, the opposite is true. The state of mankind since the fall is one of rebellion and disobedience. Jeremiah 17:9 describes man’s inner condition. Our innermost beings are so corrupted by sin that even we don’t realize the extent to which sin has tainted us

The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:9
King James Version (KJV)

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:10-12
King James Version (KJV)

"God Is Love"
This is a profound statement. God doesn't just love, He is love. His nature and essence are love.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:8
King James Version (KJV)

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,
and God in him.
1 John 4:16
King James Version (KJV)

Since it is God's essential nature to love, He demonstrates His love by lavishing it on undeserving people who are in rebellion against Him. God’s love is not a sentimental, romantic feeling. Rather, it is unconditional love, the love of self-sacrifice. He demonstrates this sacrificial love by sending His Son to the cross to pay the penalty for our sin ,by drawing us to Himself, by forgiving us of our rebellion against Him, and by sending His Holy Spirit to dwell within us, thereby enabling us to love as He loves. He did this in spite of the fact that we did not deserve it. "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

Herein is love, not that we loved God,
but that he loved us, and sent his Son to
be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:10
King James Version (KJV)

No man can come to me, except the Father
which hath sent me draw him: and I will
raise him up at the last day.

John 6:44
King James Version (KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8
King James Version (KJV)

God knows each of us individually and loves us personally. His love is unconditional and never ending to all Mankind.
He wants none to perish but all to come into a personal relationship with him through His Son Jesus Christ. It is this experiencing of God’s love that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. Why does God love us?
It is because of who He is:
"God is love."

An Instrument by God

Words from David's new bride:

Life, most of the time, is full of challenges. It is up to the individual on how to deal with it.
Blessed be God Almighty for He will not give any challenges / obstacles that we cannot bear.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
King James Version (KJV)

David surpassed the challenges he had because of strong faith God Almighty gave him and each and everyone of us a meassure of faith. He returened unto the Lord with all of his heart and entrusting everything unto Him to do all the work. Through this strong faith God gave David a spirit of perseverance and determination to keep going and fight the good fight of faith. God molded and taught him to be one of His sons by enlightening his mind about His scriptures.

I also know that David is a man of integrety,  genuine and have self respect for others which makes him a good example to his fellowmen. He always stands for Christ. All glory to God Almighty and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ for this is also one of the reasons why he is easy to be loved by me.

I thank God everyday for sending David into my life. He is an instrument by God to open my eyes to know the truth to lead me to salvation through Jesus Christ! I feel so blessed for the love that God has placed within our hearts. Blessed be the name of Jesus for the love blossoms everyday. I am so proud of having a husband like him.

God bless us all!

Overcoming by Faith

There are many examples of Faith in God's Word, The Holy Bible, and many things Jesus and the apostles did by Faith; healing the sick, blind, lame, casting out demons, etc. If they all should be written every one, I suppose even the World itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen

Q. But what is Faith?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
Hebrews 11:1
King James Version (KJV)

What a Scripture  "Believing without seeing"

Q. How can we believe without Seeing?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
King James Version (KJV)

Q. Can we see the wind?
No, but we can feel the wind and also see the effect's of the wind. In the same way, through repentance (surrendering our lives into God's hands, recieving Jesus as our Lord and Savior) we our transformed by the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things through Gods word, and prayer. This is the start of the most Beautiful journey of our new lives in Christ being Born again.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
King James Version (KJV)

We 'Overcome Doubt' by Faith In Jesus!

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
King James Version (KJV)

In my own walk with God, our faith can be tested like in the Book of Job, which is worth anyone reading a great example to all. When times are hard and we feel sometimes that no one cares, it's then we must step up and exercise Our Faith.

1. Prayer- Greatest key of all!, Ask God, pour your heart out sincerely, I have many times with tears running down my face.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8
King James Version (KJV)

2. Stay in God's Word 'The Holy Bible' There's love, strength, comfort, hope, peace, joy, etc. Feed on God's word!

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:23
King James Version (KJV)

Keep Your Focus On Jesus!

Godbless you all

David
