Thank you, Lord God Almighty, for the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
We have all had the honour of living through her 70
years of dedication and service as monarch. An era has ended. A new one begins.
Every year, during her Christmas message, she never failed to speak of her
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Queen quotes:
"Although we are capable of great
acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from
ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. God sent into the world a
unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general (important though they are)
– but a Saviour, with the power to forgive."
"This is the time of year when we
remember that God sent his only son ‘to serve, not to be served’. He restored
love and service to the centre of our lives in the person of Jesus
Christ."
Only the Lord God Almighty who knows if she is saved or not? If so, may this be her glorious moment to enter into the presence of the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Our prayers go to the family for the loss of their
much-loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. We also pray for the
reign of King Charles lll that he would know, worship, and follow the true
God—the King above all kings—whose kingdom will never end.
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, to receive everlasting
life as a free gift, repent, believe, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone,
to save you and you will pass from death to life (John 5:24) …behold,
now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians
6:2).
