As Bible believing Christians, it is hard to watch our
unsaved family members, friends, and neighbours etc. walk a life apart from
God. Many have made a god in their minds to suit their lifestyle and sins. This
is called idolatry of the mind making a god to suit their lifestyle. We grieve
that they have not yet grasped the urgency of having a Saviour and their need
for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Many people are trusting in their good works and their
religion to saved them. Thinking that their good deeds will outweigh their bad
deeds.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
God’s gospel offers
salvation by grace. He gives us grace (unmerited favour) though we don’t
deserve it. Grace is what saves a sinner. We are saved not because of what we
do, but what God has done through His Son Jesus Christ. Furthermore, we do good
works after being saved as a gratitude to God. We don’t do good works to be
saved.
The Bible says:
Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV
Jesus Christ is the only way for us to be saved from
the punishment of our sins. Salvation is only found in Him.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved
Acts 4:12 KJV
Jesus Christ is the only way for those who are lost,
He is the truth for those who are deceived, He is the way to the Father, He
gives life for those who are spiritually dead, and He is the source of eternal
life.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
John 14:6 KJV
The gift of salvation by
faith in Jesus Christ was offered to the Philippian jailer in the Book of Acts,
when he asked Sirs, what must I do to be saved? He and his household believed
and were saved the same day.
The Bible says:
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house
Acts 16:30-32 KJV
It is God’s mercy and
long suffering that gives people more time to repent, for He doesn’t want
anyone to perish.
The Bible says:
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
God loves us and provided
a way for everyone to be saved, but only those who repent and appropriate the
atonement by believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
will be saved from the wrath to come.
The Bible says:
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him
Romans 5:8,9 KJV
Please consider what the
word of God says, as approximately 150,000 people die every day. Today is the
day of salvation, as no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
The Bible says:
2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV
