We thank the Almighty God for the blessings and for leading
us through the difficulties every year. Although we are facing uncertain times,
in God, we have certainty, hope, and inner peace.
Love and do God Almighty’s will
We are commanded to love and to do the will of God
Almighty not only for a year but throughout our lives.
Jesus said unto
him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the
first and great commandment.
And the second
is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew
22:37-39 KJV
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15 KJV
Prayer
Prayer is important in the Christian life. It must
line up with God Almighty’s will. It leads us into a closer intimate
relationship with our Creator. We can pour our hearts out to God in prayer.
Be careful for
nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6
KJV
Pray without
ceasing.
1 Thessalonians
5:17 KJV
Worship
We can acknowledge God
Almighty through worship, giving Him reverent
honour.
O come, let us
worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
Psalm 95:6 KJV
Let every thing
that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 150:6 KJV
Bible reading every day
It is very important to read the Holy Bible every day.
The instruction manual for life itself will help you grow in the knowledge of
the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and ask the Holy Spirit to help you
obey what you read.
All scripture
is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of
God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy
3:16-17 KJV
Thy word is a
lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105 KJV
Fasting
Helps you draw closer to God.
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:18 KJV
Biblical New Year’s resolutions have a chance to
succeed depending on your commitment but most importantly include our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ in everything you do.
