WHY IS THERE SUFFERING?

There are no words to describe the anguish being felt by those who are suffering today, our heart and prayers have and will go out to them. There’s illness, crime, death etc. Perhaps you have been asking the question “WHY”?

God created man perfect, and he lived in a perfect world without suffering. The Bible tells us that God cursed the earth because of Adam’s sin. When sin came into the world, death and misery came with it.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Genesis 3:17(KJV)

Sadly, many use the issue of suffering as an excuse to reject any thought of God, when existence of suffering is the very reason we should accept Him. To understand why there is suffering we must read His Word, the Holy Bible.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 5:12(KJV)

How can we know that the Bible is true? Simply read and study the prophecies of: Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3. When people repent from their sins, believe Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, fully trust, have faith in Him alone, whatever life brings only Jesus Christ can be relied on.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mark 1:15(KJV)

When people receive the message of the Holy Bible they can say that all sufferings are temporal for those who have sincerely repented and believed the gospel of Jesus Christ, and are now awaiting on the new heaven and a new earth where there will be no sorrow and pain for God will wipe away all tears, and make all things new.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:4-5(KJV)

With Blessing in Christ,

David & Gay
