SEVEN LAST WORDS

SEVEN LAST WORDS

Jesus Christ spoke seven remarkable words after he was nailed to the cross and before he died.

Christ prayer for the sinners, though they were his persecutors and murderers, he prayed Father, forgive them.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Luke 23:34 (KJV)

Jesus Christ was crucified between two thieves. They were guilty before God, but one of the thieves said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. The thief repented and believed that Jesus is God.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:43 (KJV)

There stood by the cross, his mother, some of his relations, friends and his disciple.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

John 19:26-27 (KJV)

When our Lord Jesus was suffering, for a time, forsaken by his Father because of our sins that he took upon himself. When we are in sin we are separated from God.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Matthew 27:46 (KJV)

Jesus was thirsty after the accomplishment of the work of our redemption.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

John 19:28 (KJV)

The commandment of his Father concerning his sufferings was now fulfilled.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 19:30 (KJV)

The words of Jesus as he breathed out his last breath.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Luke 23:46(KJV)

Jesus was obedient to his Father even unto death. When we humble ourselves, acknowledge our sins, repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, he will save us from the wrath to come. Read his word the Holy Bible and obey what you read. Christ intercedes for all that repent, believe and trust in him.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:7King James Version (KJV)

With Blessing in Christ,
