SEVEN LAST WORDS
Jesus Christ spoke seven remarkable words after he was
nailed to the cross and before he died.
Christ prayer for the sinners, though they were his
persecutors and murderers, he prayed Father, forgive them.
Then
said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for
they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus Christ was crucified between two thieves. They
were guilty before God, but one of the thieves said unto Jesus, Lord, remember
me when thou comest into thy kingdom. The thief repented and believed that
Jesus is God.
And
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto
thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

There stood by the cross, his mother, some of his relations,
friends and his disciple.
When
Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he
saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy
son!
Then
saith he to the disciple, Behold thy
mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

When our Lord Jesus was suffering, for a time,
forsaken by his Father because of our sins that he took upon himself. When we
are in sin we are separated from God.
And
about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say,
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Jesus was thirsty after the accomplishment of the work
of our redemption.
After
this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might
be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

The commandment of his Father concerning his
sufferings was now fulfilled.
When
Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

The words of Jesus as he breathed out his last breath.
And
when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus,
he gave up the ghost.

Jesus
was obedient to his Father even unto death. When we humble ourselves,
acknowledge our sins, repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, he
will save us from the wrath to come. Read his word the Holy Bible and obey what
you read. Christ intercedes for all that repent, believe and trust in him.
In
whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according
to the riches of his grace;
