How Reading Scripture Together Strengthens Your New Marriage

Every couple aims to have a happy and healthy marriage. This could be achieved by putting God Almighty as the head of the relationship.

  1. God Ordained the Marriage
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
    -Genesis 2:24 (KJV)
  2. Pray Together
As it is the only way to communicate to Our Father in Heaven.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
    -Matthew 18:19 (KJV)
  3. FaithBelieve that God Almighty is directing the marriage and surrender every situation in the marriage into God's Hands.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
    -Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
  4. Study the Scriptures TogetherSitting down together in a comfortable and quite place in Our home, then scan the scriptural topics for the area that we feel might help strengthen Our relationship with the Lord, and with each other.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
    -Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
Building a happy, healthy marriage takes a lot of hard work, commitment, time, patience - It is possible by keeping God Almighty at the head of the marriage.
