A Walk of Faith & Honesty

As a child of God, we all have a powerful Testimony to tell, sharing how we came to Jesus and the difference He's made in your life, that can help others discover how they, too, can know God personally.

But how do you distill a lifetime of experiences into a few minutes and communicate the significance of your faith in a way others can understand?this is the challenge.

1. Consult God first in everything. Talk to your Father in Heaven, trusting in his will and word to come to pass in your life.

 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
-Psalm 118:8 KJV

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
-Matthew 7:7

2. Be yourself and be completely honest to yourself and to others.

 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
-Proverbs 12:22 KJV

3. Prayer: Pray always trusting in God to answer in his time and to do whats best for you.

Pray without ceasing.
-1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV       

4. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
-Romans 8:14 KJV

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
-John 14:16 KJV

Confessing Sin

When people hear confessing your sins they think of monks in a monastery or stepping into a formal confessional at the end of mass. However, God’s Word teaches us that confession is an important practice for everyone’s daily lives.

What does the Holy Bible say about confession?

We all make promises we know we can't keep, sign contracts we're unsure we can uphold. Throughout his life, David made contracts and promises that eventually fell apart. It wasn't until he turned his life over to God that he understood the true difference between these contracts and a covenants of God.


In this post, David discusses these differences.

What does the Holy Bible say about confession?

REPENTANCE

The word repentance means deep sorrow; regret for any past action, wrongdoing, conviction of the heart, or sinful ways. A sincere turning away in both mind and heart from mans sinful ways to God.

To repent in relation to salvation is to change your mind from rejection of Jesus Christ to the faith of Jesus Christ, to recognize that He is indeed "Lord and Saviour".

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
-Mark 1:15

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
-Romans 12:2

All the Prophets, apostles and even Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called for repentance.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
-Matthew 4:17

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
-Luke 5:32

 The goodness of God leads us to repentance.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
-Romans 2:4

By Gods Love and great Mercy, when we  repent, believe in Jesus Christ alone and what He did for us at the cross of Calvary. God then is able to restore that relationship with Himself  by His Grace, leading us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, to continue to guide us into all truth ,the renewing of our minds through Gods word, personal relationship in prayer, and the inwardly and outwardly changing of our lives. A person who has truly repented from the rejection of Christ to faith in Jesus Christ will give evidence of a changed heart, mind and life showing the love of God.
