Salvation means being saved from the power of sin and
from hell, the eternal penalty for that sin. Through the process of salvation,
we are freed from everything that could prevent us from enjoying eternal life
with God Almighty. We have all violated God’s Laws, principles of Truth in the
Word of God.
What must we do to be saved?
1.We have all sinned against God Almighty and
transgressed His Laws with our words, thoughts and intents of the heart;
For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 (KJV)
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
(KJV)
2. We need to
ask forgiveness, repent, and believe Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans
10:9-10 (KJV)
3. Then we are
born again (A spiritual change from sinfulness to righteousness).
Jesus answered and said unto
him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 (KJV)
Therefore, if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new.2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
4. Those who have been born again are now justified by
faith of Jesus Christ.
For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man
should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9(KJV)
5. This is only the beginning of our journey with
Jesus Christ. We are all a work in progress, which leads to sanctification, to
make holy, set apart.
And the very God of peace
sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)
Pray, read God’s word daily and ask God to help you
obey what you read and to be led by the Holy Spirit in His will.
